Tavern History
The Tavern was originally built in the 1920s as a residential home along US Highway 1 and later served as an antique store for many years. In 1996, the building became part of the Clark Estate and was relocated 100 feet east of its original location. To preserve its character, a large southerly addition was constructed in 2000 using salvaged wood. In 2012, a second addition enclosed the northeast patio area, featuring floor-to-ceiling glass windows that now offer a beautiful view into the garden.
